Metro’s Girls Cross Country Team went to State this year.

This visit to state certainly wasn’t their first. Girls’ Cross Country has placed 3rd at State in both 2024 and 2022. This year’s stats can be found here. We want to especially recognize the impressive individual performance of Lucy Luetkemeyer, who placed 4th Place with a time of 18:59.19. Lucy’s impressive season landed her on the St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s “2025 All-Metro Girls’ Cross Country – First Team“. Here’s what the Post says about her performance: “Never finished outside of the top 10 in eight races, with three individual championships including the Forest Park Festival’s White Division and the Mikayla Sherrill Fall Classic at Willmore Park, where she ran a school-record time of 18:23.1 on a 5K course. Picked up a third-place finish at district before a fourth-place finish at the Class 3 state meet, the highest ever for a Metro runner.”
